Intro to Bellydance -The beginner
–Classes are suitable for teens & adults. A fun & low impact exercise. Class covers beginner & basic moves of several diverse styles & techniques, from the traditional Arabic & Turkish bellydance through to the modern & popular blended style of Tribal bellydance! Each class consists of warm up exercises, stretches, posture for the dance, broken down basic steps, drills & then finishing off with a relaxing cool down. You will enjoy this class in a fun & friendly atmosphere. Wear comfortable pants, similar to gym or dance attire, strictly NO JEANS or zippered pants. Most students dance bare foot or wear socks (black). Bring a water bottle & your sense of adventure!

Ametribalrican Tribal Style (ATS) - progressive levels 1, 2 & 3
A modern style of belly dance created by USA based Carolena Nericcio, Director of Fat Chance Belly Dance & Paulette Rees Denis, Director of Gypsy Caravan. These classes are inspired by the teaching of these 2 Masters. Classes cover strengthening warm-ups, posture, beginner & intermediate movements, combos, critique, group work, choreography & improvisational choreography. Intermediate classes are useful as technique & additional training for student troupes. Bring a water bottle & your note book & pen, Veil, Zills / Sagat & knee pads (when requested). Wear any of the following: a comfortable top with dance pants or harems, coin hip belt /shawl or tribal belt. Tiered circle skirt (optional). For ease of turning on the balls of feet, I recommend purchasing a pair of ‘Foot thong’ by BLOCH, available from ballet boutiques $23.


Arabic & Turkish Styles -Cabaret - intermediate
Modern Cabaret - Arabic & Turkish Styles - Intermediate Cabaret, modern Egyptian: Cario night club based style & modern Turkish styles. Gypsy style: a blend of folkloric, Baladi, & Raqs Sharqi styles. Classes are suitable for teens & adults, covering intermediate moves, from traditional & modern, Arabic & Turkish bellydance. Class consists of warm up exercises, stretches, posture for the dance, drills, choreography, & group choreography & cool down. Wear dance pants or harems, strictly NO JEANS or zippered pants. Bring a water bottle, exercise book, pen & a yoga mat.


Tribal Fusion– beyond beginner level
Prerequisite - 1 or more years of any bellydance experience or similar. The latest style of bellydance created in America. A blend of styles being: tribal, cabaret and modern dance. * Several intermediate classes above incorporate techniques with props such as Veil, Sword, Cane & Zills / Sagat (finger cymbals). * A brief study & guidance of costume & makeup for each of the different styles is also incorporated.
