Sandra is a typical Leo & the mother of our ‘mother & daughter’ team within the troupe. Past experience mainly Egyptian and Turkish styles of belly dance from 1997-2003, learning to dance with various props such as zills, tambourines, water jugs, sword, stick, veil & Arabic drumming. Has performed both dancing and drumming at venues from Sydney to Kiama during this period, followed by a brief study of Aboriginal dance and Bollywood. A dedicated member since we formed in 2004, enjoying the strength and the power of the dance, the music, the costumes, the jewellery and the ongoing challenge. Enjoys all aspects of being with her tribal sisters, often making statement of how troupe members are, ‘Beautiful, strong and proud!’ Attributes to the troupe are veil, sword & and an exceptional Henna artist!

Being a mother of two and a Primary school teacher for 26 years has kept Sandra very busy, however, she does find time for her other interests which include henna design, reading, cooking, watching old movies and enjoying the company of both family and friends.
